About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our Health Psychology service in Derbyshire and Derby. As part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire, you will be working under supervision to support the development and evaluation of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement psychologically informed resources to support service users.
  2. Co-facilitate psycho-education and peer support groups under clinical supervision and guidance.
  3. Provide one-to-one psycho-education and guided self-help to service-users.
  4. Maintain therapeutic boundaries and conduct basic cognitive assessments (with training and supervision provided).
  5. Contribute to patient and public involvement initiatives to inform, develop, and promote rehabilitation services.
  6. Support audit, service evaluation, and research activities.
  7. Enhance psychological knowledge and skills among multi-disciplinary colleagues.
  8. Deliver training on relevant psychological skills and perspectives to colleagues and other staff groups.
  9. Attend multi-disciplinary and team meetings to share expertise and collaborate on service delivery.
In Addition
  1. Ensure responsible maintenance and protection of clinical records.
  2. Contribute to audit, service evaluation, and research activities as required.
  3. Receive regular clinical supervision in accordance with good practice guidelines.
  4. Report concerns or matters requiring decision from Clinical Lead level.
  5. Support Service and Trust objectives.
  6. Adhere to Trust policies and procedures.
  7. Provide information on performance and outcome measures as necessary.
About You

We are looking for an individual with excellent analytical and judgement skills, as well as strong planning and organisational abilities. This role may require demonstrating duties to others, including assistant psychologists and healthcare professionals. Additionally, you must adhere to Trust health and safety policies and procedures while ensuring due regard for your own safety and that of others.

The salary for this position is estimated to be £25,500 - £33,258 per annum, depending on experience, and is part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay scale band 6.
