Key responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the technical quality audit system and undertaking technical quality audits on your own work and of others as required.
  • Assisting and supporting all aspects of your specialist division's activities and services.
  • Ensuring successful assistance and support in the management and delivery of CFD services to our Clients in a timely, integrated, and technically proficient manner.
  • Effectively working independently or as a part of a team to meet business requirements, as required both within the office, remote working environment, and during site visits.
  • Maintaining and nurturing good working relationships with colleagues and project team members.
  • Proactively seeking input from within your division, or the project teams, to enable successful completion of your responsibilities.
  • Maintaining professional accreditation(s), awareness, and understanding of relevant industry standards, regulations, legislation, and policies appropriate to the services of the division.
  • Handling a wide range of tasks, projects, and queries, for all activities to meet service standards, and when assigned, being the point of contact.
  • Assisting in gathering, monitoring, and reporting of data and financial information related to project tasks to support the successful production of final deliverables, and management reporting of service performance.
  • Maintaining appropriate levels of courtesy and professionalism in dealing with other people, both internally and externally, with the ability to ask questions and exchange information using tact and diplomacy to achieve a satisfactory outcome.
  • Carrying out any other duties which fall within the broad spirit, scope, and purpose of this job description and which are commensurate with the grade of the post.
  • Assisting in completion of administrative tasks relating to any part of the business as required, for example: timecards, marketing, HR, and procurement.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • BEng or MSc in a relevant field with emphasis on Fluid Dynamics and Thermodynamics; a PhD degree is desirable.
  • Minimum 4 years industry experience modeling and reporting CFD for mechanical systems in commercial, industrial, or data center buildings (*Data center experience is essential).
  • Membership in an industry association like IMechE, CIBSE, or IET, working towards Practitioner/Chartered status.
  • Proficient in CFD, Thermodynamics, Heat and Mass Transfer, HVAC, and ANSYS software.
  • Competent in MS Office, Rhino, Ansys Fluent, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication, team-working skills, and the ability to manage projects proactively.
  • Ability to read and interpret Architectural, Civil/Structural, MEP, and specialist drawings and specifications.

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or closely related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience.
  • Understanding of mechanical systems and controls and knowledge.
  • Ability to develop detailed energy models with eQuest or other simulation software.
  • Experience working within the architectural design process.
  • Understanding of energy-efficient commercial lighting systems.
  • Availability to travel out of state.
  • Excellent writing and documentation skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
