Opportunity Overview

We are seeking applications for funding to support the purchase of mid-range equipment for research in the biosciences.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include researchers and research organisations from the UK.

Applicants must be affiliated with an eligible research organisation and must not have previously led a project under this funding opportunity.

Funding Details

The full economic cost (FEC) of the equipment can range from £200,000 to £1.5 million.

BBSRC will fund 100% of the FEC.

Application Guidelines

Applications must be submitted through the UKRI Funding Service.

Applicants are encouraged to discuss and prioritise their submissions given the limited budget available.

Support for Research Technical Professionals

We particularly encourage applications from Research Technical Professionals (RTPs) as either project leads or project co-leads.
