Role Overview

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.



Key Responsibilities


  • Individualised Support: Develop and implement personalized learning plans, providing one-on-one support and small group sessions to meet the unique needs of students.
  • Classroom Assistance: Collaborate with teachers to prepare and organize materials, ensuring a stimulating and engaging classroom environment that fosters a love of learning.
  • Safe Environment: Maintain a safe and inclusive learning space, prioritizing the well-being and safeguarding of all students.
  • Behavior Management: Assist in managing student behavior, promoting positive social interactions and a supportive classroom culture.
  • Progress Tracking: Monitor student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:




  • Experience: A proven track record of working with SEN children, preferably in a teaching assistant role.
  • Love of Learning: A genuine passion for fostering a love of learning in students, with a commitment to creating engaging and interactive lesson plans.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents/carers.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and priorities with ease.
  • Patience and Resilience: The ability to remain patient and calm in challenging situations, prioritizing the well-being of students and staff.
  • Qualifications: A relevant qualification or a willingness to undertake training, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.
