Specialist Teaching Assistant for Vulnerable Youth

We are currently recruiting for SEMH Teaching Assistants to join our exceptional team at a well-established Ofsted-rated SEMH School in Hampshire.
The school caters to boys aged 10-16 with complex needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health), Autism, and ADHD, providing them with a supportive environment to learn and grow.
This rewarding role presents an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students who require additional support. The school's vocational curriculum enables students to express themselves creatively and practically.
Key Information:
- Working Hours: Full-time, ASAP start
- Salary: Competitive rate of £85 per day
- Location: Chandler's Ford, Hampshire
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with SEMH needs in a 1:1 or small-group setting.
- Collaborating with the school team to develop and implement effective strategies to meet individual student needs.
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and providing regular updates to parents/guardians.
- Complying with all relevant policies and procedures, ensuring the safeguarding of students.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students with complex needs.
- Previous experience in the SEN sector or similar environment.
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certification, valid registration with the online update service.
- Two professional child-related references available upon request.
