Job Title: Senior Cardiac Physiologist and Echo Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a senior cardiac physiologist and echo expert, you will be responsible for performing and reporting adult Echocardiograms.

About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to work with our expanding, friendly team and contribute to the development of our complex echo service. You will have the opportunity to support head of department and service leads with developing services, supporting trainees, quality control, and audits.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and report adult Echocardiograms.
• Work alongside consultant Cardiologists performing TOE's, Stress echos, and LVOs if suitably experienced.
• Support junior members of staff, in accordance with British Society of Echocardiography standards, guidelines, and departmental protocols and policies.
• Act appropriately in the event of significant adverse findings, alerting physicians when immediate medical attention is required.

Requirements:

• Significant experience as a specialised Cardiac Physiologist and advanced knowledge of Echocardiography.
• British Society of Echocardiography accreditation (BSE) or equivalent.
