Senior Python Engineer

Oxford Knight is seeking an experienced Senior Python Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of a cutting-edge Python-based platform.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Python engineer with a strong background in building scalable and reliable systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Python, as well as a solid understanding of software development principles and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop a Python-based platform to integrate datasets, analytics, and tech platforms across the firm.
  2. Collaborate with the team to build and maintain robust APIs and services to support Portfolio Managers in trading, risk management, and research.
  3. Work closely with the business to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
  4. Contribute to the development of a collaborative culture and an energetic, dynamic engineering atmosphere.
Requirements
  1. 7+ years of experience in software development, including 4+ years of Python experience.
  2. Solid experience building a product and rapidly iterating according to user feedback.
  3. Good eye for API design, focused on scalability and reliability.
  4. Familiarity with equity and/or fixed income products, particularly pricing and analytics.
Desirable Skills
  1. Front-office hedge fund experience.
  2. Use of data-driven approaches.
