Job Opportunity: Senior Residential Worker

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated Senior Residential Worker to join their team in a Children's home in Medway, Kent. This permanent position offers a competitive salary of up to £32,723.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the effective management and delivery of services to children and young people, ensuring adherence to safeguarding and caring regulations.
  • Lead shifts, allocate tasks, and oversee areas of responsibility, guaranteeing comprehensive handovers and accurate record-keeping.
  • Motivate and supervise staff, developing high-quality performance development plans that enhance individual growth and contribute to positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Evaluate services against required standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with service users and families/carers, maintaining accurate records and fostering strong relationships through effective communication.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date information regarding children and young people, including essential record-keeping by staff at shift completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress toward agreed goals for children and young people.
  • Administer and record medication sign-in and sign-out, adhering to safe storage policies.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working within Children's residential care.
  • Knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and the Care Act (2000).
  • Understanding of the developmental needs of children and young people.
  • Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections.
