Job Title: Chef/Cook

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef/Cook to join our team at Aramark UK in Greenock, Inverclyde. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the team in the day-to-day running of the canteen and kitchen, including planning and implementation of new procedures and concepts.
  • Ensure that all food served is of the highest quality and meets our health and safety standards.
  • Train and supervise new staff in the safe preparation of food items.
  • Ensure that health procedures are followed in accordance with HACCP regulations.
  • Maintain par stock levels and ensure that all deliveries are correctly stored and checked.
  • Prepare and portion dishes in accordance with recipe cards.
  • Participate in the formulation and compilation of new menus.
  • Ensure that all equipment is cleaned and serviced as required.
  • Adhere to a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming.
Requirements:
  • NVQ level 2 culinary or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
  • Previous experience of working in a kitchen or within catering.
  • Basic DBS check required.
