Job Title: Chef/CookWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef/Cook to join our team at Aramark UK in Greenock, Inverclyde. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the team in the day-to-day running of the canteen and kitchen, including planning and implementation of new procedures and concepts.
- Ensure that all food served is of the highest quality and meets our health and safety standards.
- Train and supervise new staff in the safe preparation of food items.
- Ensure that health procedures are followed in accordance with HACCP regulations.
- Maintain par stock levels and ensure that all deliveries are correctly stored and checked.
- Prepare and portion dishes in accordance with recipe cards.
- Participate in the formulation and compilation of new menus.
- Ensure that all equipment is cleaned and serviced as required.
- Adhere to a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming.
- NVQ level 2 culinary or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Previous experience of working in a kitchen or within catering.
- Basic DBS check required.
- A competitive hourly rate of £12.50.
- A full-time position with 35 hours per week.
- A Monday to Friday schedule with 7.30am to 3pm working hours.
