Fire and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire and Safety Specialist to play a critical role in minimising the risk of fire at our site in Barrow In-Furness. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and address incidents that breach health and safety regulations or present a risk to business operations.
  • Represent the Fire Team on the Incident Response Team.
  • Maintain and repair portable fire extinguishers and hose reels.
  • Input and output data for asset spreadsheets.
  • Complete safety management audits and conduct basic training in fire loss prevention.

Requirements:

  • Minimum GCSE Maths and English qualifications.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with MS office applications.
  • Basic fire fighting techniques.
  • Experience in maintaining and repairing portable fire extinguishers.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
