We are seeking a highly skilled General Practitioner to join our team at HMP Isle of Wight, a category B male training prison. Located on a small island, our facility offers a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
As a General Practitioner, you will work closely with our on-site Lead GP, GPs, and ANPs to deliver high-quality care to approximately 1100 patients. This role would suit a GP who is looking to deliver end-to-end care, with a large proportion of patients having long-term conditions and polypharmacy needs, including cardiac, diabetes, and asthma care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions
- Work collaboratively with the on-site healthcare team to provide comprehensive care
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of healthcare policies and procedures
