About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional Engineering Manager to lead our software engineering team at TravelPerk. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, ideally in software engineering, and experience managing teams of 8-10 software engineers.

As an Engineering Manager at TravelPerk, you will be responsible for the delivery and personal development of your team, acting as a servant leader, and taking care of individuals' performance in the organisation. You will also be a technical champion, ensuring that the team has the time and context to build systems that meet the needs and standards of our organisation.

The successful candidate will have the ability to adapt and react fast to an ever-changing environment, be a problem finder and solver technically and organisationally, and run effective performance reviews. You will also be responsible for developing and evolving a long-term strategy and roadmap for the team, working with the Product Manager and aligned with the Tribe mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of 8-10 software engineers
  • Develop and evolve a long-term strategy and roadmap for the team
  • Take care of individuals' performance in the organisation
  • Act as a technical champion and ensure the team has the time and context to build systems that meet the needs and standards of our organisation
  • Run effective performance reviews and develop team members

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience managing software engineers
  • Experience managing larger teams where it's necessary to build processes and systems of delegation to get work done
  • Strong technical background, ideally in software engineering
  • Ability to adapt and react fast to an ever-changing environment
