Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at the Celtic Manor Resort. As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the success of our kitchen operations, working closely with the Head Chef to deliver exceptional food quality and service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in the management of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food quality and service.
- Monitor and control kitchen costs, including food, labor, and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other departments, including front of house and events, to deliver seamless service to our guests.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train junior staff.
- Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality food and service.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
