Quality Analyst Job Description

Pyramid8 is working with a leading Scientific Company based in Sheffield to recruit a Quality Analyst to join their production team. Our client is a world leading manufacturer and supplier of instrumentation and software to the Life Science Sector.

The Quality Analyst will be involved in the final testing of software products before they are released onto the market, as well as providing feedback from testing performed at key stages throughout the development process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform testing on software following set procedures and ensure that it is working as intended.
  • Work with software developers and project support teams to ensure that new functionality is tested and validated.
  • Write, update, and execute test scripts to ensure that software meets quality standards.
  • Provide objective feedback to software development project teams and communicate findings to technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Perform onsite validations at customers' sites to ensure that software meets regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Degree in a Science related course or experience working within drug discovery or environmental studies.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Problem solving with effective solution evaluations.
  • Microsoft Office suite - especially Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight timelines whilst still delivering quality results.
  • Ability to understand and gather customer requirements.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently as well as within teams.
  • Willingness to travel - including outside the UK.
  • Driving licence.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of HPLC, GC, and other chromatography techniques.
  • Knowledge/Experience in software testing.
