About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Shunter/Driver to join our team in Leeds. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth movement of our Heavy Goods Vehicles between local depots and garages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vehicle Movement: Safely drive and shunt HGVs between depots and the garage.
  • Pre/Post Inspections: Conduct thorough checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition before and after trips.
  • Yard Duties: Assist with general yard organization and maintenance to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements:
  • HGV Class 1 license is essential.
  • A clean driving record and experience driving large vehicles in a commercial setting.
  • Confidence driving in various weather conditions and environments.
  • Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety protocols, and basic vehicle maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on safety.
