About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at a primary school in Swindon. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) and special educational needs (SEND) to provide support and guidance in a structured and adapted curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with teachers to contribute to students' Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and individual needs academically and socially
  • Plan and deliver interventions alongside teachers to support students' progress and well-being
  • Support in managing the behavior of pupils and ensuring a constructive and positive environment is maintained
  • De-escalate situations within the classroom and report any safeguarding concerns using the school's referral procedures and safeguarding policies
