Reed Business Support is working with a well-known Scottish Higher Education establishment to find an experienced Estates Manager to oversee the site management of two of their campuses.

The role involves managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing budgets, and leading a team including security, porter, and room booking staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and maintaining estate properties to the highest standards.
  • Overseeing daily operations and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Developing and managing budgets for estate maintenance and improvements.
  • Leading and supervising the wider team.
  • Coordinating with contractors and service providers.
  • Implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs.
  • Handling emergency repairs and maintenance issues promptly.

Requirements include:

  • Proven experience as an Estates Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of property management and maintenance.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial plans.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in property management, facilities management, or a related field.
