Audit Manager Role

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our team at our Banbury office. As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing and managing a portfolio of clients within the Corporate Services department with a focus on leading our Not-for-Profit specialism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional service to clients, including those in the Not-for-Profit sector, as well as others where applicable.
  • Respond to client and HMRC queries in a timely manner.
  • Seek to gain experience and progress roles by taking on more advanced work from partners and delegating routine tasks to junior staff, thereby enhancing cost-effectiveness and adding interest and training to the team.
  • Develop knowledge of clients and their businesses to become their primary point of contact for day-to-day matters.
  • Review and finalize audit files, accounts and corporation tax work prepared by junior staff.
  • Complete staff appraisal forms providing feedback and training as required.
  • To identify business opportunities and assist partners with specific value-added assignments, such as business planning, advisory and other audit-related matters.
  • To assist partners in controlling WIP within the department by progressing work to completion or billing swiftly.
  • Monitor progress against deadlines and ensure these are met, such as Companies House filings, group reporting, P11Ds, tax returns, etc.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual who meets the following criteria:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Minimum of 4 years post-qualified audit experience gained within an accountancy practice environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience managing staff within a practice environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of audit and accounts preparation, corporate taxation knowledge and preferably Not-for-Profit.
  • Strong marketing, networking and business development skills.
  • Strong IT skills; experience with MS Office, audit and accounting software.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Pro-active management skills resulting in high performance teams.
  • Live within commuting distance of Banbury.
