Drainage Design Specialist

As a key member of the North East team at Waterman Aspen, you will play a vital role in delivering a variety of projects for our clients. This Drainage Engineer position offers a unique opportunity to apply and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design all aspects of drainage from concept to detailed design
  • Work on public, private, or third sector drainage design projects
  • Collaborate with clients to assist in your technical progression
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of UK standards such as DMRB, The SUDs Manual, CDM, and local authority standards
  • Prepare reports and specifications, and collect and assimilate data necessary for progress and technical reports
  • Work with hydraulic modelling software such as Micro Drainage
  • Contribute to the development of the team and the company

Requirements:

  • UK experience of working on drainage design projects
  • Competency in UK standards such as DMRB, The SUDs Manual, CDM, and local authority standards
  • Ability to design drainage systems and prepare reports
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic modelling software
  • Professional membership/accreditation with an industry-recognised Professional Body
  • The legal right to work in the UK
  • A full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills:

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar
  • Familiarity with 3D design tools and BIM
  • Knowledge of EA Business Case development
  • Working knowledge of S278, S38, S104, and S106 design and applications
