Job Title: SEN Reading and Literacy Specialist (Neurodiversity)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SEN Reading and Literacy Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work in conjunction with our delivery team to identify and provide support to learners with neurodiversity and inclusion needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the delivery team to identify and provide support to learners with neurodiversity and inclusion needs.
  • Carry out screening with learners who have low-level reading ability and adapt/develop learning materials and reading interventions to meet their needs.
  • Implement engaging and motivational learning support sessions, delivered 1-1 or in small groups.
  • Provide learning support for the duration of accredited learning programmes, leading to employability outcomes.
  • Create Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and ensure ample support is in place.
  • Maintain learner progress records, including monitoring and reviewing Learning Support Plans.
Requirements:
  • Must have experience of supporting and inspiring adult learners throughout their learning programmes.
  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Must have experience of working with learners with neurodiversity and inclusion needs.
