About the Role

Southwark College is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our IT teaching team as a Lecturer in Computing. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to the delivery of high-quality education and training in computing and IT-related subjects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and manage learning on a range of IT and computing qualifications from E3 to level 3 for both adults and 16-18-year olds.
  • Lead on the delivery of courses, including T-Level, BTEC Level 3 RQF, City and Guilds, OCN, and Gateway qualifications.
  • Manage learner attendance and progress, reporting to the Curriculum Manager.
  • Contribute to promoting excellence in the quality of teaching and learning.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a strong background in computer science and IT-related subjects, with a proven track record of professional/vocational expertise in this sector. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to self-manage workload and meet deadlines.

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position, 1.0 FTE, with teaching hours including evenings. The successful candidate will be part of a well-motivated, cohesive, and successful team.
