Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Planner to join our Planning Team. As a Trainee Planner, you will be responsible for learning our systems and processes, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and administering programme and forecast data within our internal systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within the Planning Team to learn systems and processes
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Local Delivery Partners and Local Authorities, to build and maintain programmes of work
- Administer programme and forecast data within internal systems, such as WMT and Power BI
- Highlight programme risks to the wider team
- Be responsible for programme performance and accountable for delivery to agreed KPIs
- Build productive working relationships with Local Authority representatives
- Attend ad hoc planning meetings with all stakeholders to ensure assurance and programme actions
- Contribute to planning and design strategy for overall project planning
- Ensure project delivery is on time and within budget
- Introduce and deliver innovation to drive efficiencies and improve performance
- Report on the programme within the agreed contractual agreements
- Ensure 'good passes' to and from the planning team
Requirements
- Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Understanding of the NRSWA/permit application process
- Ability to liaise and manage internal and external suppliers and other third-party service providers
Desirable
- Worked in a gas environment
- Knowledge of internal systems and applications, including Power BI
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to work under pressure
- Work within a team
- Ability to solve problems
