Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Planner to join our Planning Team. As a Trainee Planner, you will be responsible for learning our systems and processes, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and administering programme and forecast data within our internal systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within the Planning Team to learn systems and processes
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Local Delivery Partners and Local Authorities, to build and maintain programmes of work
  • Administer programme and forecast data within internal systems, such as WMT and Power BI
  • Highlight programme risks to the wider team
  • Be responsible for programme performance and accountable for delivery to agreed KPIs
  • Build productive working relationships with Local Authority representatives
  • Attend ad hoc planning meetings with all stakeholders to ensure assurance and programme actions
  • Contribute to planning and design strategy for overall project planning
  • Ensure project delivery is on time and within budget
  • Introduce and deliver innovation to drive efficiencies and improve performance
  • Report on the programme within the agreed contractual agreements
  • Ensure 'good passes' to and from the planning team

Requirements

  • Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Understanding of the NRSWA/permit application process
  • Ability to liaise and manage internal and external suppliers and other third-party service providers

Desirable

  • Worked in a gas environment
  • Knowledge of internal systems and applications, including Power BI
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Work within a team
