Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day requirements of the Energy Recovery Facility and Municipal Permit (MPT).
  • Deliver and report on the environmental monitoring programme for the Energy Recovery Facility, ensuring compliance with the Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC) Permit.
  • Ensure sampling and monitoring comply with the Environmental Permit, trade effluent, and discharge consents.
  • Maintain the local Business Management System, including hard and soft filing, distribution, communication, and audit as required.
  • Monitor ERF SHEQ performance, producing KPIs, trends, and summary reports for managers and directors.
  • Liaise with third-party contractors for environmental monitoring programme delivery.
  • Collaborate with ERF Operational staff to maintain monitoring infrastructure and resolve environmental compliance issues promptly.
Requirements:
  • Understanding of industrial processes, emissions, the Industrial Emissions Directive, Environmental Permitting, and waste management regulations.
  • Ability to use initiative, solve problems, and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Competence to advise on environmental compliance and deliver improvements.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and tasks as required.
  • Current driving licence.
  • Appreciation of health and safety in an industrial environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with management and sharing of health, safety, and quality software.
