Commercial Analyst - FMCG Expert

Metrica Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Analyst to join our client, a leading international FMCG organisation. As a Commercial Analyst, you will play a key role in building analytics tools, tracking reporting and key performance metrics, and delivering insightful recommendations on value delivered, forecasting, category and range, sales, and waste management.

The ideal candidate will have experience in an analytically-based position, looking at commercial KPIs, such as price, range, display and space, margin, and category optimisation. You will also have the ability to deliver findings and recommendations persuasively to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Utilising benchmarking and comparison techniques to identify and quantify commercial opportunities across brands/categories/locations.
  2. Forecasting customer behaviour and impact on sales and profit of changes, such as menu changes, price changes, etc.
  3. Developing price proposals for the markets to support price increases or promotions and performing analysis to measure local pricing and commercial trials, using a mix of controlled experiment techniques.
