About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Delivery Manager to join our team at Scott Logic. As a Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of complex technology projects for our clients, developing and maintaining strong client relationships, and demonstrating hands-on expertise in managing software development projects using Agile methods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of complex technology projects for clients, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business needs and delivering solutions that meet their expectations.
  • Demonstrate hands-on expertise in managing software development projects using Agile methods, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Team lead, with proficiency in the management and motivation of high-performing software development teams, including distributed teams.
  • Take responsibility for project financials, ensuring targeted financial results are achieved.
  • Support the onboarding of consultants to projects, assist in qualifying resource requests, and work with line managers and consultants to assess project fit.
  • Undertake line management of assigned consultants, handling performance feedback and annual review processes.
  • Contribute to the development of assets, such as offerings, white papers, blogs, delivery toolkits, and learning curricula.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a technology consultancy, with a strong appreciation of modern software engineering and associated development technologies.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to other Scott Logic offices and client sites within the UK and overseas, as required.
  • Previous experience working in a dynamic, fast-moving environment, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Project management certification, such as PRINCE2 Practitioner status, PMI, or ScrumMaster.
  • A relevant university degree.
