About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Consultant to join our dynamic Attack Surface Management team in Manchester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering client security programs, as well as leading the development of our services.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a technically advanced and talented team, helping NCC Group build and deliver world-class Vulnerability Exposure Management services through our Attack Surface Management portfolio.

Your expertise in Vulnerability Exposure Management, leadership, and strategy skills, combined with your customer-centric approach, will be crucial in driving our services, customer satisfaction, team success, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead at least one service line within the department; develop the service inline with market trends, drive and report on revenue, and ensure a customer-centric delivery model.
  2. Deliver complex security programs with clients based on their requirements.
  3. Run and manually verify network and application vulnerability scans.
  4. Write and deliver high-quality client reports.
  5. Analyze external and internal attack surface outputs to identify and communicate risk.
  6. Work directly with customers and sales teams to deliver exceptional reports and clearly communicate prioritization for remediation.
  7. Act as a subject matter expert across various services.
  8. Escalate issues as needed.
  9. Maintain operational relationships with customers.
  10. Assist operational teams in resolving issues that arise during service operation.
  11. Identify and implement technical enhancements to services that drive value for customers.
  12. Serve as a senior expert to customers to improve service quality and maintain a roadmap for those customers.
  13. Support the onboarding of new customers, building an understanding of their business risks.
  14. Lead and mentor Technical Account Managers, providing guidance and support in delivering exceptional service to our clients.
  15. Establish performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and offer coaching and professional development opportunities.
  16. Foster a collaborative and positive team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  1. Strong understanding of basic cyber security principles.
  2. Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  3. Understanding of network and web application security.
  4. Proficiency in using network and application scanning tools and utilities.
  5. Ability to link vulnerabilities and understand their impact on risk.
  6. Experience with EASM platforms.
  7. Knowledge of ITSMs such as Service Now.
  8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  10. Strong experience in Client Relationship Management.
  11. Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
  12. Strong background in Information Security.
  13. CRT and/or IASME Vulnerability assessment Plus certification.
  14. Understanding of web services architecture and commonly employed technologies.
  15. Experience with software development and secure code development.
  16. Knowledge of PCI DSS requirements, particularly ASV testing.
  17. Knowledge of Cyber Essentials requirements.
  18. Understanding of DDoS Mitigation.
  19. Programming skills in languages like Python and Java.
  20. Understanding of Service Now.
  21. Desirable: UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum
