Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team in Durham. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to adults and children with complex needs, including those with spinal injuries, catheter care, and cough assist. You will work closely with our service users and their families to develop personalized care plans and provide emotional support and companionship.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with medication administration and clinical interventions
  • Support with meal preparation and household tasks
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to service users
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans
  • Communicate effectively with service users, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • 3 months previous care experience
  • Personal care, moving and handling, and medication administration skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid UK driving license (required for day shifts)
