The Role

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our procurement function, driving excellence in procurement strategies. As a key member of the team, you will develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for customers, optimizing costs, enhancing supplier performance, and mitigating risks.

This includes leading complex negotiations with key suppliers, ensuring alignment with company objectives, and building strong relationships. You will oversee the entire supplier lifecycle, from onboarding and evaluation to performance management and risk assessment.

You'll be reporting to a Team Leader and working closely with the buying and customer success team, responsible for delivering exceptional outcomes to our customers by negotiating SaaS purchases and renewals with their vendors.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for customers, driving cost optimization and supplier improvement
  • Lead complex negotiations with key SaaS vendors, ensuring alignment with company objectives
  • Oversight of the supplier lifecycle, including onboarding, evaluation, performance management, and risk assessment
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers on SaaS procurement decisions, leveraging expertise to drive value
  • Utilize data-driven insights to optimize SaaS spend and maximize value for customers
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes, driving business growth and revenue
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of commercial experience in a recurring revenue environment
  • Proven expertise in high-volume and high-value transactions, either in buying, selling, or facilitating roles
  • An active listener with excellent negotiation skills, empathetic and outcome-focused
  • A creative thinker capable of challenging customers and suppliers to achieve desired outcomes
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with customers and suppliers
  • SaaS/IT procurement understanding beneficial
  • Demonstrable success in delivering results while working collaboratively across functions
