Job Description

The Role:

GAP Lifting Hire & Sales offers a comprehensive range of lifting equipment and accessories. Our division has everything customers need for lifting any size of load, from small shackles and slings to material lifts and aluminium gantries.

The Regional Hoist Engineer is a site-based role responsible for installing, dismantling, and maintaining our hire fleet of rack and pinion (Geda manufactured) construction hoists. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing faults, updating service records, and completing test certificates.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Hoist Engineer or similar with relevant mechanical qualifications or time served
  • NVQ level 2 qualification and working towards level 3 in Hoist Operations (although not essential)
  • Ability to work independently and assist other team members when required
  • A customer-focused approach to work and strong attention to detail
  • Valid driving licence is essential
