As a key member of our team at Anglian Home Improvements, the Estimating Director will lead and manage our estimating team to drive projects to success.

Leveraging strong leadership skills, expertise in cost estimation, and proficiency with estimating software, this role will develop estimation methodologies and databases, analysing project specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the estimating team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement estimation methodologies and databases to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyse project specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates, considering factors such as materials, labour, and equipment.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and value engineering to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Prepare bids and proposals, engaging with clients to discuss project requirements and negotiate costs.
  • Implement best practices in the estimating process to ensure consistency and quality.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior estimating role, preferably in the construction or engineering industries.
  • Strong background in construction or engineering, with knowledge of market trends and cost optimisation techniques.
  • Expertise in estimating, cost estimation, bid preparation, and cost management.
  • Excellent team management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide the estimating team.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of market trends and cost optimisation techniques, with the ability to apply this knowledge to drive business growth.
