Derby Homelessness Advisor Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Homelessness Advisor to join our team at Novax Recruitment Ltd in Derby. The estimated salary for this role is £62,880 - £69,360 per annum (£17-£18 P/H).

About the Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals experiencing homelessness, providing expert advice and guidance to prevent further episodes and address accommodation requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver face-to-face support services to individuals with housing needs, addressing complex issues and developing tailored solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop housing plans in accordance with legislative frameworks, providing written advice and guidance to customers.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and accommodation providers to negotiate effective solutions and ensure customer needs are met.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality services and best practices, ensuring consistent approaches and adherence to policies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in customer service and housing advice, including managing complex cases and developing bespoke housing plans.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, demonstrated through working with providers, partners, and agencies to secure positive housing outcomes.
  • Experience in collaborating with multi-agency teams and adhering to policies related to safeguarding, health and safety, and equality.
