Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in launching a brand new service at two of our care homes. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with children and young people aged 8-18, supporting their physical, emotional, and educational needs.

About the Role:

  • This is a unique chance to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and support services.
  • The Deputy Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to staff members, ensuring that all aspects of care are delivered to the highest standards.
  • With a focus on person-centred care, the ideal candidate will be able to build strong relationships with service users, their families, and colleagues alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of up to two care homes, each providing specialist support to children and young people with EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties).
  • Lead by example, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding among staff members and service users.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and strategies that align with the organization's values and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Practitioner in a similar setting, ideally within the Children's Home sector.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff members to achieve their best.
  • An in-depth understanding of child development theories and models, including Attachment Theory and Trauma-Informed Practice.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
