We are seeking an ambitious and energetic English and Performing Arts Teacher to join our Teaching team at Roehampton Gate School.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and supporting our young people who may have autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD and associated complex needs.

The school is a purpose-built day school for young people with autistic spectrum disorders, and the successful candidate will be expected to uphold the professional standards for qualified teachers and adhere to the professional code of the General Teaching Council for England.

The role will involve teaching in an SEN Secondary setting across Key Stages, and the successful candidate will be required to provide timely and accurate reports to all stakeholders, including SLT, Governors, and parent/carers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To carry professional duties as outlined in the latest School Teachers Pay and Conditions document.
  • To teach a class of pupils and ensure planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs.
  • To maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • To provide accurate assessments of learning and progress and matched against aspirational and appropriate targets.
