About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Gardener to join our team at Hanbury Hall, a beautiful country estate in Worcestershire. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of horticulture and ensuring the garden is safe and enjoyable for visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily checks to ensure the garden is safe for visitors
  • Carry out routine tasks such as weeding, pruning, and mulching
  • Operate machinery such as hedge cutters, leaf blowers, strimmers, lawnmowers, and tractors
  • Propagate plants, cut flowers for the house, and prepare plants for sale
  • Work in the park, perform tree safety work, and assist with garden design and restoration
  • Manage waste and recycling, and work collaboratively with the garden team

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable about plants and horticulture
  • Experience with machinery and maintenance
  • Full driving license
  • Ability to manage a demanding outdoor role
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to plan and meet deadlines
  • Professional gardening or horticultural qualifications and experience
