Cost Consultant

Our Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Sector is dedicated to making a difference in the industry, and we are seeking a talented Cost Consultant to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support cost planning, including ownership of and presenting cost plans to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Support the procurement process, ensuring stages including prequalification, enquiry, analysis, selection, and contract preparation are performed effectively.
- Deliver project quantity surveying and cost management services to a high standard in support of contract administration, cost reporting, cash flow forecasting, purchase order management.
- Implement an integrated cost management strategy for the project, leveraging contractor reporting and considering project contracting strategies and team structure.
- Lead and support the team in the development of the project control plan for projects.
- Prepare accurate cost reports and forecasts per project requirements on a monthly basis, reviewing inputs from the contractor/supplier base.
- Review cost reports with the project manager and at management levels.
- Develop and maintain reports including cost analysis and forecasts, cash flows, cost variance performance reporting, contingency, and management reserve rundown trends.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a cost consultancy practice in a similar role.
- NEC form of contract experience essential.
- Cost planning, budgeting, and estimating experience.
- Sound knowledge and ability to undertake and advise on contract administration.
- Knowledge of value engineering and life cycle costing.
- Strong understanding of industry best practice.
- Capex V opex cost analysis/advice.
