We are seeking a Head of Governance and Ethics to join our team at Standard Chartered Bank. As a key member of our governance and compliance function, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective governance and ethics programs to promote a culture of integrity and accountability throughout the organization.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in governance, ethics, and compliance, with excellent leadership and communication skills. You will work closely with our business teams to ensure that we maintain a high standard of governance and ethics.

This role offers a competitive salary of £180,000 per annum, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth and development. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including core bank funding for retirement savings, medical and life insurance, and flexible working options.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective governance and ethics programs
  • Collaborate with business teams to promote a culture of integrity and accountability
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure governance and ethics standards are met
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on governance and ethics matters
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to drive business outcomes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational background to degree (or equivalent) level;
  • Knowledge of governance, ethics, and compliance principles
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Certifications - An AML professional qualification is desirable, but not mandatory e.g ACAMS
