Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at East Lothian Council. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all vehicles in our fleet, including LGV, PSV, Specialist equipment, Light Goods and Cars.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain all vehicles in the Council Fleet
  • Work in a purpose-built workshop at Macmerry Industrial Estate or elsewhere as required
  • Assist with items of plant when required

Working Hours

Monday - Friday, shift pattern utilised covering operational opening times of workshop:

  • Monday - Wednesday, 07:30-17:30
  • Thursday, 07:30-16:30
  • Friday, 07:30-15:00

Benefits

A 5% shift allowance will be paid in addition to the advertised salary.
