This is an exciting opportunity for a financial professional to oversee the finance function and focus on the strategic direction of the business, with a strong emphasis on management accounts and cash flow forecasting.



The ideal candidate will have a background in product business to business, technical or scientific engineering, or manufacturing, product sales or distribution. They will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.



The salary for this position is up to £60,000 per annum, plus benefits, and the company is looking for someone who can grow with the business as it continues to expand exponentially.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our client's finance team in Bedford. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage the preparation of financial reports, including management accounts and cash flow forecasts.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the business's growth plans.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Manage the financial planning and budgeting process, ensuring alignment with the business's overall strategy.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to the management team, ensuring they are informed and aligned with financial performance.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • A strong background in finance, including experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in accounting or finance, and professional certifications, such as ACCA or CIMA.
