Manufacturing Technician Specialist

An excellent opportunity has arisen with a leading manufacturing company in the UK. The business is looking to bring an experienced Manufacturing Technician to the Engineering team at a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
This challenging role involves diverse work, including the setting/operation of CNC & Power Press Machines as well as the maintenance & repair of the same machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting & Operating Power Press/CNC Machines while performing reactive and preventative maintenance on all machinery and systems
- Working to company safety guidelines
- Ensuring the quality of production using SPC and following written SOP (Standard operating procedures) and RA (Risk Assessments)
- Achieving set volume production targets
- Maintaining machines in line with preventative maintenance schedules
- Reacting to resolve immediate mechanical break downs
- Recording machine performance using the companies Smart Factory data collection system for measuring performance and OEE
- Taking part in company safety, quality, and performance programs
We are looking for someone with a 4-year Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship with a Level 3 Minimum in Engineering. A Power Press or CNC background is desired, but not essential. You will also need hand mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate can expect a salary of around £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits, including pension, life assurance, holidays, and bonus.
