Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Probe UK in Shopshire. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Fault find and repair mechanical and electrical equipment to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Improve and promote safety across the site, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Respond to breakdowns and report on machinery faults to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Update our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track equipment performance and maintenance history.
  • Contact Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and suppliers to source replacement parts and troubleshoot complex issues.
Requirements:
  • Apprentice-trained Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with a recognized qualification.
  • Strong fault-finding capabilities and CMMS experience.
  • Health and Safety / Food Safety knowledge to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance systems and standards to maintain high-quality equipment performance.
  • PLC knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
