Accounting and Bookkeeping Professional

A highly skilled Accountant is required to work with a leading B2B consultancy company based in Paisley, Scotland. This role offers the opportunity to join a thriving company that has recently undergone new investment and expansion. As an ideal candidate, you will have extensive experience in double entry bookkeeping, managing accounts, maintaining sales ledgers, raising invoices, issuing regular statements, processing receipts, reconciling all ledgers, and generating payment runs.
The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing weekly and monthly accounts, ensuring all expense claims are collated and paid on time, producing trial balances for month-end, and preparing audits. Additionally, they will communicate with the Inland Revenue regarding PAYE and other tax matters, send remittances of PAYE, and process payroll.
This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. You will need to be self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks effectively. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration would be an asset, but not essential. The estimated salary for this role is £30,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience.
