About the Role

National Energy System Operator (NESO) is a leading organization in the energy sector, working towards a sustainable and secure energy future.

We are currently seeking an IT Commercial Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reporting on vendors and contract lifecycle stages, license renewal, delivering relevant and accurate management information and insights on supplier segments, contracts, and call-off agreements.

This role can be based in Wokingham or Warwick, and we offer hybrid working arrangements from office and home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the IT Vendor Manager in reviewing and analyzing contract data to ensure effective contract renewals and changes are managed on-time, according to agreed schedules.
  • Assist in coordinating, delivering, and performing against Master Service/Framework Agreements (MSA), Statements of Work (SOWs), and Managed Service contracts.
  • Support the maintenance of the contract database, ensuring all information is up-to-date and can be used for decision-making processes.
  • Work with the Workforce Planning Lead to ensure Partner Management Information (MI) is in sync with people data on Managed Service Provider (MSP) resources and supports resource planning activities.
  • Work with the business to capture and report contract changes, deliver purchase orders, and provide invoice escalation management to enable prompt payment and accurate reporting.
  • Support regular contract performance and cost analysis reports for management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure the Invoice Management Process is optimized and well-functioning, enabling partners to be paid on time, at the right cost, and with clear accountabilities for all parties.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with significant experience in data analysis and management information/business intelligence (MI/BI) data reporting solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively challenge complex commercial ideas.
  • Resilient problem-solving skills, comfortable working in a new and changing environment that offers opportunities to shape the future investment.
  • Proactive identification of challenges, risks, and opportunities, with the ability to progress initiatives appropriately.
