About the Role
The Health and Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees by implementing and maintaining health and safety standards in compliance with legal requirements and company policies. This includes risk assessments, safety audits, training, and promoting a culture of safety within the manufacturing facility. You will be required to implement and strengthen H&S procedures, conduct risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and implement measures to mitigate risks. You will also carry out incident investigations to determine causes and recommend preventive measures. Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing and delivering health and safety training programs for employees and assisting in the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
Your Skills and Experience
We are looking for a candidate with a strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. NEBOSH certification is highly desirable, and previous experience in health and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing environment, is essential. You will need to have excellent communication skills, be able to travel between three sites, and possess a driving license. Additionally, you should have a proven track record of successfully implementing and maintaining health and safety standards in a similar role.
