Warehouse Operative Job Description

Our client, a thriving e-commerce business based in Heywood, is seeking experienced Warehouse Operatives to join their dynamic team at the distribution centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handling inbound deliveries with care and efficiency.
  • Utilising RF scanners for inventory tracking and management.
  • Sorting and placing items onto shelves accurately.
  • Verifying stock quantities against paperwork to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Correctly picking and packing orders according to provided picklists.
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures.
  • Reporting any issues or inaccuracies promptly to the line manager.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse/distribution environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently using own initiative.
  • Strong team player with a willingness to actively contribute.
  • Proactive attitude and strong performance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Resilience and positive attitude in challenging situations.
  • Commitment and flexibility to meet tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving ability and adaptability to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Working Hours:

Must be available to work any 5 days from 6. The first day of the week will be a Sunday.

Safety Requirements:

Safety shoes and hi-vis must be always worn during work hours.
