Project Management Office Leader

We are embarking on a transformative journey to make PPL PRS a digital-first, customer-focused organization. As a Project Management Office (PMO) Manager, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our organization to success by establishing and managing a PMO that utilizes common project tools and a governance process tailored to our needs.
This is a hybrid role, allowing you to balance working from our modern office space three days a week with two days of remote work. Your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing a PMO structure suitable for our infrastructure and managing it using a suite of standard tools
- Supporting project selection and ensuring business cases are well-defined
- Project managing Mandatory, Strategic, and Business Improvement projects
- Collaborating with stakeholders and the finance team to document achievable business benefits for all projects
- Defining project scope, establishing baselines, and completing project definition documents for sponsor sign-off
- Identifying and managing risks and issues, escalating when necessary
- Defining, maintaining, and sharing project plans with project teams
- Leading and motivating project teams, even when not direct reports
- Tracking project performance, identifying project creep, and ensuring timely delivery
- Establishing suitable reporting mechanisms and frequencies
- Supporting project implementation, including change management activities to ensure projects are embedded
- Assisting the Technology & Operational Excellence team in understanding project impact, documenting requirements, and planning delivery of enhancement/minor technology changes
- Displaying excellent leadership skills and building relationships with executive-level and shareholder stakeholders
Requirements:
- Experience in managing a Project Management Office, overseeing multiple cross-discipline projects
- At least 4 years of experience in a project management role, with a proven track record of delivering successful multidiscipline large-scale projects
- Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM, or similar)
- Experience in Agile Project Management
- Working knowledge of project management tools or software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in managing executive-level stakeholders
- Ability to manage project budgets, forecasting costs, tracking actuals, and forecasting product revenue and tangible/intangible benefits
- Capacity to construct and deliver presentations, presenting options and clear recommendations to a professional standard
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage own priorities and workload
- Experience in collating and distributing progress reporting to senior stakeholders
