About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team at Iron Mountain. As a Design Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our data centre projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define project scope and objectives, and develop project plans to achieve them.
  • Monitor and control project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure design solutions meet client requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members to ensure effective communication and project success.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and implement design management processes and protocols to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, including design development, construction, and commissioning.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges, and develop strategies to address them.
  • Ensure effective handover of projects to clients, including documentation, training, and support.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in design management, preferably in the data centre or critical infrastructure sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of design principles, construction methods, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members.
  • Strong attention to detail, with ability to ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of project delivery.
