About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at NET Recruit. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HSQE Director in delivering health, safety, quality, and environmental targets across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the HSQE Director in developing and delivering strategies to reduce incidents and promote continuous improvement
  • Provide project and site-specific health, safety, quality, and environmental support to operational and contract delivery teams
  • Assist with project construction phase plans, risk assessments, and method statements, and provide support for tenders, planning, mobilisation, and pre-commencement stages of projects
  • Review activities such as construction and demolition for pre- and post-mobilisation, and review procedures and practices to identify opportunities for improvement and create reports for management
  • Maintain industry accreditations and support bid submissions and supply chain evaluations
  • Oversee audits, inspections, and observation visits, recording results and advising management on appropriate courses of action, and suggesting corrective actions with designated timescales
  • Conduct thorough investigations into incidents to identify root causes, create detailed reports, and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry, with demonstrable knowledge of CDM Regulations and experience as a principal contractor. Relevant qualifications and certifications include the NEBOSH Construction Certificate (Diploma or NVQ Level 6), IOSH membership (specifically CMIOSH preferred), and a CSCS Card. Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards is also essential. Good communication skills and previous experience conducting incident investigations are required.
