Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Sister to join our team at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for leading, motivating, and supporting a team of nurses in an acute setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage a team of nurses in an acute setting, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
• Develop and implement effective care plans, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, promoting a culture of learning and development.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
Requirements
• 3-4 years post-qualification experience in an acute setting, with a strong background in adult nursing.
• Proven experience of leading and managing a team, with a track record of improving patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
• NMC Registered Nurse (Adult) and Basic Management Course (or willingness to attend).
• Ability to recognize and act on deteriorating patients, with experience of monitoring clinical practice and checking charts or calculating drug dosages.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate high standards in communication.
Desirable Criteria
• Post-registration course related to surgical patient or high acuity care patient.
• Male Catheterisation and Pain assessment skills.
