Job Summary

We are seeking a Supply Chain Strategist to develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy that drives business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing a supply chain strategy that aligns with our business objectives
  • Finding, evaluating, onboarding, and developing international suppliers
  • Establishing long-term relationships with key suppliers
  • Tracking and reporting supplier performance
  • Evaluating and proposing investment opportunities with suppliers
  • Negotiating terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness, favourable terms, and robust service levels
  • Identifying procurement risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply and minimising operational disruptions
  • Working closely with the Commercial team to align Supply with Demand and deliver the Commercial strategy

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Procurement, Sourcing, and Agronomy within the Fresh Produce industry
  • Excellent people management, interpersonal, and negotiating skills
  • A strong track record of effectively managing supplier relationships
  • Flexibility, open-mindedness, and adaptability to find solutions to challenges in a rapidly changing business environment
  • Bilingual English & Spanish or French
  • Advanced IT skills - especially planning software, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • MCIPS qualified preferred

About the Location:

The role is based in Chichester, West Sussex, and will involve regular travel to meet with suppliers and stakeholders.

Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum
