Job Description

As an Intensive Care Transfer Specialist with Swansea Bay University Health Board, you will play a pivotal role in the development of a national Critical Care Transfer Service for Wales. This unique opportunity allows you to contribute to the delivery of high-quality intensive care during inter-hospital transfers of critically ill patients.

The successful candidate will commence in August 2025 and be part of a fixed-term contract for 12 months only. To qualify for this position, you must be a doctor with ST4+ equivalent training in Intensive Care Medicine/Anaesthesia, fully registered with the GMC, and have significant demonstrable experience in transfer care settings.

We are seeking experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic senior retrieval medicine specialists who can support the development of this bespoke service for Wales.
